120g discus tank log (now with discus)

First topic message reminder :

I'm getting a new discus tomorrow so I had to get the basics down in the 120g tall that has been converted into a discus tank. Got a 48" power compact light fixture from work, not pretty but it will work.
It has dirt, sand and a light so pretty much a blank slate.


So I went searching in my planted sump for some buried treasure


Some little sword that took some nursing to get it to look this good, now it has a place to shine!

Not sure where the anubis came from I never put any of that in the sump

I want to get 3 choices on corys and then see what of the 3 I can actually get

1 longfin panda

2 barbatus

3 adolphi

I think it was the barbatus I was looking at this morning.... is there a m-f pattern difference on those?

Yup they are, I was looking in a cory book this morning that I am borrowing from my boss.
Flipping through the book and looking at the pics these all caught my eye. They are all corydoras;
Sterbai
pastazensis
xinguensis
nanus
semiaquilus
robinae
guapore
ambiacus
macropterus


Didn't even look at the requirements or anything, this book isn't very good for those.... Kinda liking the long snout idea though.... and it is a 120g so they can be larger than the norm.

Really like the Sterbai, theres a guy who has spawned them a few times. Great fish if I ever get up to auction again and they're available will probably get some for my Urau & Peruvian tank.
