ok so i decided to bite the bullet (the wifey gave me the ok)
i went and got a 5.5g tank(pico) and am going salt with this ish!
im going to put on top of my dresser and hope it holds(it should lol)
my plans for this pico are maybe to get a cpl sexy shrimp or maybe a shrimp and goby combo!
Equipment:
5.5g glass tank
marinland stealth 50W heater
Cheap O 20g filter
Knano (240gph)
(MAYBE going throw my HOB fuge behind it to add more water volume)

Lighting:
par38 12,000K with 60 degree optics

Other:
5lbs of LS
and 5lbs of base rock
going to put bout 2lbs of LR to seed the rocks once its wet:)

well imma be going to the LFS today after work to buy my cuc and some more pieces of LR im hoping i get some hitch hikerz!!!!!! freebies are the best lol
im also looking for some cheato for my filter! all i have in their is some LR rubble. i seem to have found this lil guy in my filter.

its a baby asterina starfish. i threw him in the tank so far hes the janitor in the tank

the tank itself seems to be doing pretty ok.
i have diatomes LIKE WHOA on my rocks and sand.
ima do a 2g water b4 i get my new stuff from the LFS
ill post pics and update with an FTS after the weekend.

Cool Alk! I have at least four of them in my tank. Watch for micro-brittle stars too. They are like a serpent star but they are white and about the size of a nickle to quarter across. Very cool .... I posted a pic in my hitchhiker thread.

I used to have some but my yellow damsel thought they were delicious.

from what i read if theirs a good supply of food in the tank theyll multiply:)

so i crapped out on my update with pix!
ill be sure to post the new pix tommorrow.
i rescaped my tank, i made an extra lil cave for my damsel. now the lil jerk wont come out as often as he used to>:( only movement in the tank are my 3 margarita snails and 2 hermits...........very slow movement.
ill be getting some corlz from a local here during the weekend i think after the socal chapter meeting ill post pics when i get em

my frogspawn.....still acclimating to the light,its a big difference whn going from 2, 150W MHs to a par38 led bulb. these pix are from the night i got em. theyre completely out and swaying to the flow

my sps! i got a free frag of Hydnophora and a SICK piece of ORA tri color acro!
i love the colors on the acro green,purpl,blue

it looks a million times better fully expanded!! i have 6 heads total and when theyre opened they take up the whole wall!!! i love it:)

now if i can get a clown to host that would be awsome!!!
