ok so i decided to bite the bullet (the wifey gave me the ok)
i went and got a 5.5g tank(pico) and am going salt with this ish!
im going to put on top of my dresser and hope it holds(it should lol)
my plans for this pico are maybe to get a cpl sexy shrimp or maybe a shrimp and goby combo!
Equipment:
5.5g glass tank
marinland stealth 50W heater
Cheap O 20g filter
Knano (240gph)
(MAYBE going throw my HOB fuge behind it to add more water volume)

Lighting:
par38 12,000K with 60 degree optics

Other:
5lbs of LS
and 5lbs of base rock
going to put bout 2lbs of LR to seed the rocks once its wet:)

Stock:
whatever Corlz i can get
shrooms
Zoas
some acans
whatever
pope said he might have some stuff for me when tank is ready;)

CUC:
typical turbo snail
Hermits
etc

(plz excuse the smuges on the glass my doughter got her slobery hands all over the front of the tank! i cant seem to get it off! lol)

no live rock no live sand = nothing to decay= no decay=no ammonia to turn to nitrites then to nitrates.
quick cycle? probably hasn't begun to cycle. JM.02

Ooops! srry! i typed is like if i was tlking bout my current tank! i meant my 20L! that was b4 you were on this sight! i used all them test kits on my old tank

also arent signs of Diatoms and green algea growth part or signs of a cycle?

heres clarkii! hes awsome fat happy and all over the place. he even made a home in one of the caves! if you look losely in the pics you can see the Diatomes everywere in the tank. its hard to get em on camera becuase the LEDs are too bright i guess. it cant adjust right Hmf.....it also looks like the light just spotlights the center of the tank..it doesnt it covers it quite well its just this dang camera>:(

well im thinkin imma go and get a cuc member or two on friday. im also lookin at some pretty awsome Corlz this guy an hour away from me has for DIRT CHEAP!
im fixin to see if i can pick some up the day of the socal meeting on the 29th

Those are pretty good prices. Even though they are frags, they will stand out in your tank! Good Luck

a frag of his frogspwan will be a whole head of it though! 2-4" lol thats a huge frag:)
they should stick out pretty nicely.
