| I learned something new and fun from a stripper today! Don't we always? Fern came by today to show me how she strips, but she forgot to bring her stripper pole. I got pics of the whole thing! so I lent her a q-tip instead, and she proceeded to show me how to strip my holding xmas fulu girl I have vids too but it was far too big to upload in photobucket. When she finished, I started counting the little wigglers. She says, take a pic and then count them in the pic. I said, OH, you must've done this before.. She said, yeah, once or twice.. Then we made a redneck tumbler using a thimble, and empty tube of toothpaste, a battery watch and an empty colonoscopy bag. Oh no wait, that was an old episode of McGyver. But we did make one using a strainer, tub, air pump n tube, and twisties. Now i've got 41 lil wigglers in there! They are exactly 2 weeks old and still have a tiny bit of yolk left. Figure they'll be done with that in about a day or two. Here are some pics. Reset the tank for them, since we had to move stuff around to get her out. Now the male is in spawning color and is trying to make me more wigglers! I always say, hanging out with strippers is great fun! | |

| didn't have a tank available to move the mother into, and the fry were already wigglers, so didn't want to take the chance of losing them.
they don't need to be in the tumbler long since they are almost free swimming. if they were still just eggs it would be a different story. | |

| So Yes I put the sponge filter in an established tank to mature. the fry have pretty much used up their yolk sac and I fed them two or three times today with powdered food. tomorrow will be taking them out of the tumbler. already got them a tank.. just got a deal from a friend: 2 - 4' strip lights 30" full hood n strip light 36" full hood n strip light 2 - 20g longs 1 - 10g $50 They'll stay in the 7g tub for a few more days until I reseal, cure and test the tanks I already named each of the fry! I colored them with different colors of markers to know which is which. | |
