So i had to move the two red jews i had in the south american tank into my nano tank..I'm hopping to get the wife on the bank wagon and move then into there own 55g. my question is how long can i keep this guys in the nano tank?

if a pair they can get aggessive but i have known several people who keep and breed them in 10 gallons.

i have had mine in small tanks and they seem to do fine and they are a breeding pair just put a few plants in there just in case the female feels threatened she will have a place to hide out

I had a pair in a bare 10g with a sponge filter and a pot and that's it for the longest time, they spawned often and were quite happy till the female died all of a sudden and then the male got all depressed and wouldn't eat and soon followed her......
