my discus came from breeders and hobbiest which is even better then going to a LFS I might cut a deal if someone buys all of them.

the fx5 works for saltwater another couple of cannisters that are used for salt are marineland and eheim cannisters

yeah I know cannisters work for salt, but do you really want to be changing parts every week.
canisters are used on saltwater tanks for extra filtration.

i used an old fluval 103 on a 10 gallon saltwater tank for 2 years and i never replace anything in it you could also use live rock rubble in them (on certain cannisters) in place of say bioballs, carbo, etc.
