First topic message reminder :

i have 2 pairs they are spawning weekly. i dont bother to check if the eggs are wrigglers or not.
i always thought my water wasnt soft enough to get fertilized eggs. tonight is water change night so please excuse the cr@p floating around the tank.

my wife called me to let me know i had wrigglers. i couldn't believe it!
so heres a couple of pics to show my first discus fry ever!

so all the babys are all over the place. the other discus are eating them like scooby snacks. so by tonight there should be no fry more at all.

it was fun while it lasted.
the good news is that they are good parents and the fry left swimming are eating off the sides of the parents.
no egg eaters or dud studs, which is cool.
a proven pair at a real discus shop is 2-4 hundred bucks

so i hope to try my hand at discus breeding again. ill buy the right stuff and cycle some more sponge filters, and buy some BBS to have on hand.

Thats very cool to have a proven pair and the same strain. Yeah ypu could get $300 for them easy on aquabid if you shipped.

Good luck you should get ready for the next time they do it. THat would be a fun adventure. good luck.

so the other pair laid (blue diamond n leopard)eggs again, and they have wrigglers!

its on now fern, both pairs are causing chaos in the 70 bow.
the 40b is up and running. just fine tunning the heater so its perfect.
i gonna pull the lighter pair,sause the last spawn was like 100 wrigglers.
i just checked the last spawn and there a few left. im thinking the catfish are the culprit.
