| Now you have to fill in What type of fish________ Planted/not________ Type of filter_________ How large will fish get_________ For the basic fishstore answer I hear 1" per gallon of water....I have better luck with 1" per 3-5 gallons of water. If they are "dirty" fish like goldfish...eaters of feeders....some of the larger cichlids (oscars/jacks) I go with the 1:5 ratio smaller more community oriented well planted 1:3 ratio....As long as you stay on top of water changes and keep a constant eye on your ammonia/nitirite...you can stick a bunch Hope this helps just my guidelines | |

| If the fish are going to stay around 3 inches, I'd say 15-20.
but with proper filtration and water changes.

| Depends on you. I have 30 african cichlids in a 30 gallon that size with only a sponge filter running. I stock all my tanks this way. With that said I do 50 to 75 percent water changes twice a month. That makes a difference. When thinking about a number of fish you have to consider the amount of maintaince you are willing to put in and also the amount of filteration you are using. If you have a 60 gallon with 2 canister filters or a really big one like a fluval FX5 you can get away with less water changes. I would say with GOOD filteration and 1 water change a month 30 to 40 fish in the 3 inch size will be ok. | |

| it's salt water... i'd say most fish are 3-4" in the tank... i have 3 so far but obviously looks empty... need more, but don't wanna over do it.. water changes every sat... about 1/3 of water... The filter i have is for a 75 G in a 60 G tank, with skimmer... water is always amazingly clear... so idk... i thought 10 was over doing it, but that should be cool i guess.... | |

| I saw BFinleys 60g stocked. He has A BUNCH. Various cichlids from really peaceful to Jack Demps. I think he has 40-50 fish. No aggression and a clean tank. He has pix somewhere on here. Every tank is different, as every fish is different. Just monitor the aggression and water levels. | |

| I would not do more then ten. Depending on agrassive level and if they would school or not. Als depends on size of the fish and what type. Anything more might be pushing it. | |

in """perfect""" harmony That is a pretty well stocked tank I like it! Consider though that the pather grouper, vlamingi tang and the huma huma trigger will out grow the tank quickly. The grouper can get to be almost near 2 feet.

| Yes as J*Hawk*83 said I had about 40-50 African and South/Central American cichlids in my 60g with no problems at all.At one point I even had Angelfish with my cichlids with no problems.Since yours is SW its a little different. My opinoin is that 10 fish would be ok that doesn't get over 4" and just watch your water levels and the fish aggression.Keep us apdated on what you decide and show some pics!Good luck!! | |

Yeah right after I posted it I relized he had a couple sw tanks. I still stand by what I said but I now know that he knows what he is doing. Yes do not have any FW tanks all SW. I am using my phone right now once I get to a computer I will start a new topic. Enough getting off topic. I agree with bfinley let's see pics even if its is empty I would like to follow your tank.

The grouper can get to be almost near 2 feet. The Vlamingi grew to 7" quick and will grow pretty slow from that. The Huma will only get about 6" or so(9" in the wild). The Panther Grouper was bought a few months ago at 3" and is still 3". I plan on thinning it out way before it gets too crowded. I'm still undecided about what I'm going to stock my 150 with. 1) SPS reef 2) LPS reef 3) Tropheus 4) Camen Croc I just don't know...
