So living up here in the PNW its time to start bringing in the Platys and Guppys, one overcrowed 20g already, draining the 100g trough now and the lower it gets the more I realize it was a wonderful idea to free up a few tanks for the summer but where in the dickens am I going to put all these fish LOL chin

Will post some pics of some of them when I get a chance, my neighbor who has been enjoying it was amazed today and I showed her the tank where I was putting them whilest getting them sorted she says "oh wow there were quite a few" I chuckled at her and said "what are you talking about I haven't even made a dent, that's only 3 big nets out of the tank"

A friend up here gave me a call to let me know he'd brought his in as he had some males I really liked and would work well in one of my "guppy projects", can't wait to get over and see how many he ended up with. Good thing though he wants a couple of my solid yellow males that showed up. Not that it's going to make a difference LOL

This sounds so cool. Is it going to be a fancy guppy pond or just standard?

The base stock was:
Male Guppys: Blue Moscows, Tie-dye Moscows and a moscow that I'm not sure what color classification he would have been
Female Guppys: Most Blue Moscows, few Black Moscow females and some females from the tie-dyed line

Sunset Mickey Mouse Platys and 3 females out of the blue Mickey Mouse with red saddlebacks and fins

All I can figure where the yellow stock came from is somewhere got some fry mixed up with stock out of the "jungle tank" which the male moscow in there is black with yellow leopard print in his tail and entire dorsal fin. More than likely is what had happened since he is the only guppy I have with any sort of yellow and a couple of the fry in that tank are yellow.

For the first time my guppys have became more than hour's worth of work LOL but did finally get them all out last night about 10 after taking the last of the water in the pond and the fish I couldn't catch and dumping into a empty 29g to catch the rest. The line of sunset mickey mouse platys are harder to catch LOL than alot of the WC fish I've had over the years. And after all of that, a tote on a coffee table with fish (my little boy isn't impressed I've taken over his space) only missed one fish out of all of them, felt bad but at that time of night and not the best light didn't do bad.

In the process of sorting now, some fish ended up with lets just say roomy's they aren't impressed with until I get this project done. Truly some odd combinations but no fights! YAY!!!

I done a guppy & platy pond last summer. I placed them in late spring & pulled them out in early fall & I pulled out nearly 300 guppies & 150 platys. So many cool colors too.
