| Im hearing alot about this now and am curious. I have an external whisper 30-60 pump on my 29 gallon tank. Would this work for it and if not what should I look for?

| Sure - I could see it easily doubling the effective biological filtration on your filter system. Basically you are simply increasing the surface area to which the beneficial bacteria can cling and live to. | |

| I would not buy those. After it's all said and done you are paying 3-4$ for 1 filter.
Go to Kensfish.com and get them they are about the same price (little more) but you are getting more for your money. You can also get a ton of stuff you might need to go along with it. ALSO you may be able to get a group buy going in your area and split shipping.

| My friend made that mistake and bought some of those cheap sponge filters and totally regrets it. The ones you want are:

Tell Ken that Kory from USAfishbox sent ya. These filters work better then the cheap ones. A lot more space for the bacteria to grow and more surface for the water to contact. Just drop an air stone in the middle and your done. I have one similar but a lot bigger and i put a power head in it to filter my 100 gallon pond with gold fish and a yellow belly turtle. The water is crystal clear and stays that way.
