yesterday on CL someone posted a Leopard Ctenopoma an a synodontis angelicus (for free), and called them an African leaf fish and Spotted Catfish (they also had pics).... I looked both up, and the second one they sort-of had right, but the first one didnt have "african leaf fish" as the common name, instead it was- Leopard Ctenopoma, Spotted Ctenopoma, Spotted Climbing Perch, Leopard Bushfish.... after reading about this bad boy, I figure he could go in the 55ga with the chinese alge eater, and maybe the emrald cat (depeding on how big he is) and move the krib into the 20gal (whih right now hae convict babies in it and the s. angelicus could go into a cichlid tank from what I read on it.... What would you guys suggest?

I did email them, just waiting on a response from them.

Most syno cats are quite compatible with cichlids and you seem to have enough places for him to hide. If hes at least the size of the smallest cichlid or none can fit in his mouth I say go for it!
I have syno petricolas in with Christmas fulus and syno ocellifers in my 120g with an assortment of cichlids. The ocellifers will hit my 240g soon due to their size though....
But they take a beating and give it too, most are from lake tang so perfectly compatible with most Africans.

Thanks Fern! I have a few more terracotta pots and other assorted decorations I can add for hiding places too. This is the site I read before emailing the person- http://www.malawicichlidhomepage.com/haps/synodontis_angelicus.html

From what I have found on the Leopard Ctenopoma is they cannot go with cichlids, and it does not like flake food. With this one I was thinking maybe I could put angels in with it since they are not "overly " aggressive, but they would be to big for it to eat too :-) Right now it is just wild thoughts jumping around my head till I get a reply though.
