| sometimes it actually pays off. i see it all the time if someone would have bid the higher price the auctioneer wanted then they would have won it but by going lower it ends up going for more in the end.
i have also seen people bid high off the start and win the item becuase no one wants to compete with them.

i have also seen people bid high off the start and win the item becuase no one wants to compete with them. That's what I do at the auctions. I raise it up to the price i think is good for me and if anyone wants to play with me we can go from there. MOST of the time I get it and were good! You don't have to bet by 1$ then $2 and so on...shoot start off at $15 or higher if you like.

| I'm known to win pretty much any bidding war I'm in when I really want something! No I'm not rich either, my wife is in the air force and I'm a school teacher! However if I see a fish I want really bad, skies the limit! I've bid over $150 for 4 tiny fry before! I've spent $85 on $50 worth of fish, just to prove a point! The funny thing is once the fish spawn I give away the fry. I've never sold any fry I give em away! I'm all about the hobby! JB | |
