| The next time they breed, after the female has been holding for 10 to 12 days, try netting her out and place her in a small aquarium with a small cave (can use a piece of slate leaning on a rock) and she will spit out the fry and feed her will before introducing her back to the main tank. use a sponge filter with the fry. If you think this is a lot of a hassle, Place piles of rubble in the tank so the fry can hide. Small river stones in a pile here and there in the tank does the trick. I always leave the fry alone in the tank with the parents. About a month or so, I would remove the rocks and go after the fry. There is nothing like the site of babies swimming in and out of the rockwork while the adults are to busy chasing each other. A busy tank is a happy tank!!! | |
