| Hey y'all. So, I'm obsessed with my tank and no one seems to understand... maybe y'all will! Nothing special about it really... it's a 210 gallon tank. I have a frontosa that actually started out in the San Antonio Zoo. He was with the hippos, and when they moved the hippos, they realized he was blind in one eye and they got rid of him. I have 2 red hooks almost the size of saucers. A 16 inch pacu, and an arowana that I'm teaching to be hand fed. Oh, and an albino pleco. I've had him the longest.
One thing I would like to know is how can I tell if my red hooks are male or female? Can I even tell?

| Hmm... I have 2 and they've been together for about 6 months. The slightly bigger one has a longer anal fin, but the smaller has better color. Just recently they've been acting kinda strange I guess you could say. I have no idea how they reproduce, but the other day I swear it looked like they were stuck together 'down there'. Lol. | |

- Breeding Information: Silver Dollars breed in schools so a large bottom area is required for an entire school to breed. Eggs are typically laid on or near plants.

| Well then no babies for me... my frontosa likes to keep to the bottom and tends to suck his food from the rocks and plants...
The bigger one is about 7inches long, the smaller is about 6inches.

| Welcome to USAfishbox. I believe don't count on it but red hooks have group spawns. I haven't studied them since the early 70's so memory alittle rusty. |
