First topic message reminder :

If all goes well I will be getting a nice 90 gal tank to replace my 55 gal. I'm going to sell the 55 gal. My family thinks I'm crazy they don't get why I need a bigger tank. The 55 gal I got because it was cheap but I always wanted a tank that was wider then 12" is that really so crazy. New tank will be 48x18x24 .

So I will have a 90 gal 100 gal and 36 gal. + an extra 20 gal that's empty now. I could move all fish to the 2 large tanks no problems and only keep 2 tank if I have to and I might have to if we move.

So getting a larger tank makes sence right? It's a good deal $150 obo I think they will go lower. I have a light for it and other stuff. The tank looks good. Better then what I have.

After selling a few random tanks I have I hope that will pay for the new tank. Fish forums are like my suport group because no one at home understands. I need some suport :) .

Update I'm getting an 80 gal tank tomorrow.

Guess you discussed with your family and convinced them that crazy for 90 but super for an 80.. LOL

Haha kind of. In the end he said just do what you have to do I don't care. So I'm just going to do it.

Not even nearly crazy! I have 15 55Gallon tanks running and wish I'd held out for something wider, since all the fish get big and need room and can only be comfortable swimming back and forth in those, tipping upward to turn around and go again. It would be so much better if they could all swim in both directions. The 75's and 125s have proven to be a much better fit, but I have only two of each of those. Go wider whenever you can!
