how old is the male, its like he may of had skinny disease at one point the way though depression on the side of this head are. I had a tank outbreak one time, some survived with the depressions still left behinde. Great pickup thought, you should be getting fry often with that many females.

Not sure of the age. I got them from a buddy off the MCA. Not sure about the head thing but im going to keep an eye on him. I'm sure if something was wrong with then he would of let me know....but ya just never know.

I do love peacocks. But the Red emp is a Haplochromis. These can get up to 10"
Peacocks don't get but about 6". However both are from the same lake they are not both Peacocks. I like Peacocks b/c they have so much color to choose from! STUNNING colors.

They look very close. I'm still trying to learn all of the African types! Either way, very nice fish!
