| I noticed my OB had eggs. What do I do after they hatch. How long will she hold? | |

| ob peacock im guessing? If you want to keep them, remove the female to her own tank and just let her spit. Then return the female back to the main tank. Your other option is to let her hold and tumble the eggs, then strip her after about 2-2.5 weeks. | |

| Is the ob currently in a community tank or alone? I don't know what your setup is like, if she is with a bunch of other fish, and you let her spit in the tank with the others. Most likely they will all get eaten. Just let her stay in the main tank for a couple weeks then strip the fry and put them in the breeder net. | |

| I agree. Congrats!! If this is her first time, it might not be successful. Sometimes it takes them a few tries to get it right. Let her hold for 2-3 weeks, then strip her... OR buy a 10 Gallon (13 bucks) at Petsmart...throw in a sponge filter (another five bucks) and leave her alone and let her spit the fry on her own. With the warmer weather here in TX, you won't have to worry about heating the water...although warmer water promotes growth and the fry will develop faster. | |
