| ok so i got some nice small pieces of drift wood. how do i clean them so i can put them in the tank? should i lest rinse them or wash them up real good? :scratch: | |

| stick them in a dishwasher without soap if you can fit them. if not then you may want to visit a car wash and use the pressure washer. then heavily dechlorinate some water and soak them for a little while. shouldn't take long. an hour or so should do it. I dont ever remember being given an exact time length, but the way chlorine works... i would think a quick soak is sufficient. | |

| ya dont do what i did. i water logged mine in regular water and i had chlorine in the wood. it took forever to get it out. so what i would do is take it to a car wash and let it dry good and put in tank and put something heavy on top of it. it should be ok | |

| THANKS FOR THE ADVISE. THE ONES I GOT HAVE A PEICE OF FLAT ROCK ATTACHED TO THE BOTTOM THE KEEP THEM DOWN. GREAT IDEA FROM THE GUY I GOT THEM FROM. | |

| nice. i really like that peice. i had gone to an aquascape site that allowed you to design a planted tank using bunches of animation plants, rocks, and drifwood. you could twist, flip, stretch, whatever to really get the look you wanted. i use two peices that looked exactly like that, but i was never able to find them forsale. i eventually went with petrified wood, since is was amout the closest i found. anyhow, very cool. | |
