Red Gourami???

I don't keep gourami's, but this fish came to me with a 125G tank purchase. Took a lot of pics to try and get his tail fin... Was told it was some type of Gourami, but with a little googling I couldn't find a match... ANY help would be appreciated. He's about 6" long, and seems to be holdin' his own with my Peacock Males. Also, I attached a few pics of a Blue Ahli and a German Red Peacock 4.25". Soon, I will be craigslisting these or taking them to the LFS, but thought I would offer them here first. some times they can be mean buggers.

i keep gouramies and he's not one....no long "whiskers" and the fins aren't the same either...i agree appears to be a cichlid
