Jack Dempsey Not eating... - Page 3 Empty

First topic message reminder :

I bought a female Jack dempsey a little bit ago, for a companion to the male that I was getting. The male is significantly larger than the female. Male is 10, she's about 6 or 7.

I've had them for.. about 2 weeks now, and they won't eat. I have been feeding OSI cichlid sinking pellets, the smaller ones, then I switched to larger Hikari sinking pellets... They won't eat at all. They show no interested. They just chill in their terra cotta pot, and that's it.

The only thing they will eat is rosy red feeders.... They were being fed in pellets when I got them.

Any suggestions?

They are in a 55 by themselves right now, minus the pleco who minds his own business and eats algae wafers.

None of that stuff gets bought there. I have everything that I need...

I guess I could maybe put that towards some home made dog treats or something.

Welp, little momma I guess kept freaking out for no reason, and every time she would freak out, the eggs would get kicked up, and she happed to have laid them right by the filter where the water gets sucked up.. so other than that, and the pleco eating the ones that got thrown about the tank, there are no more eggs...

They have moved to a different part of the tank.

How often do Jack's breed? So I can be prepared when it happens again.
