i am wondering how much t-5 lighting you need for a 75 gallon aquarium when keeping easy to grow coral and inverts i have read you only need 2 54 watt bulbs is this true.

If you're wanting your coral to thrive and reproduce at a good rate; I would go with at least 2x 96watt bulbs or 4x 54 bulbs.

That's plenty. You shouldn't have any problems growing soft coral.

i have eight 39w t5 bulbs on my 135 gallon. Dont seem to have a problem.

6-8 t5 ho's over a 75 and you could grow hard corals.

3-5 watts for soft, 6-8 watts for corals. it also about how much light energy is getting down to the corals.
