| well i fell into the "dumbass not doing his research before buying a fish" categorie today. i bought a sailfin tang on sunday, and hes been doing great!!! untill this morning when i found him stuck to the filter. i knocked him off the filter and he started swimming. i came back about an hour later and he was flopping around in the sand about 20 minutes later he died. he starved to death. poor guy now im out 25 bucks and a beautiful fish! so plzzzz do your research to prevent this from happening to you or your little fish.
on a side not i think my mandarin is on his way out too. his tail is rotting away for some reason. i just put a whole bottle of tigerpods in the rocks so he should have way more then enough food. i dunno, today sucks |

Is the mandarin eating? That's usually a sign of not eating. How old is your sand?

| Every time I find a fish I like I always research what they eat other tank mates and if tjeu are reef safe or not. I do not like wasting money and time on a noncompatable fish. | |

I also do the same. Research on your fish you want is very important.

| I want a mandarin too but o need to start a new tank for them because o have two triggers in my tank. I think one of them took out a clown fish, but that was a risk I took when I got the trigger. | |
