| There is this what looks to be a 4" Geophaginae of some kind I think maybe a red headed tapajos. He is in with African cichlids his fins are all nipped he looks pretty beat up. He has been at the shop for 3 months now. I go in and check on him every few weeks. He is always there wagging his tail at me saying take me home. They don't know what kind of fish it is. She was a drop off by someone that no longer wanted her. She came in with a large JD that found a home.
The tank I would put him in is a 55 gal. That's fully stocked with young fish.
1 severum 3" 1 blue acara 3" 1 ebjd 3" 6 emperor tetras 7 red eye tetras 1 rubber nose 3"
I will be upgrading this tank to a 90 or 100 gal this summer. I really want to save this guy what do you think. I could always find him a new home once I get him looking good.

| The EbJd is a brat he is tough but not a fighter. I think my fish will get along with him fine. I'm just scared of over stocking. But I have worked out a deal with the husband I getting a bigger tank in summer. | |

| I would just go ahead and save it. Ask the manager if you can have it for $5 and state why. Normally, if he's not an @$$, he'll agree | |

| The tank he is in goes by size 2" 6.00 3" 8.00 4" 11.00. So any way it will be a good deal Geophagus are hard to find and rang from $30- 13 for 2" fish. Some can be even more 50-100 depending on type. It's not about the price I'm worried about space in my tank but I think it will be fine since most are all young.
Since I'm pretty sure he was a drop off I might get him dirt cheap. Petco gives away unwanted fish for free. They had 2 angle fish beautys 6" they were free. But this is not a chain store so we shall see. But y'all are right I should ask for a discount.

| Oh if hes at a petco defiantly save the poor thing! just be sure to qt him and get him a little better before he goes into your main tank.
Most of my corys are rescues, a lady I bought a tank from had them in a 30g that you couldn't see through and they were skinny as rails. Now they are happy and spawning like mad. |
