| i don't think there has to be a prize other than forum recognition - have the potm as the pics on the side vs the random copywrighted pics - for me, that would be enough recognition as i don't want the kind of fish that are usually given away (no offense) and while $ is good, it is basically returning my membership fee and i'd rather kory have the funds to build the forum with sponsors who give us discounts - that's just my opinion

| thanks, red! awesome idea - a prize of some kind (s/be $ considering the distance of our members and the different tank setups) for the poty (pic of the year) displayed for the entire new year on the side

| I agree no need for a price. I think one for sw and one for fw would be a good idea since you are getting so many photos to pic from. | |

I totally agree with you but I don't think as many people would enter or vote if there is no prize. I don't mid having 2 POTM. Prizes are a must

, prizes are nice but bragging rights are alright to . but my opinion is yes there should be seperate, reason being is that slatwater entries dont seem to get many votes for POTM for one and this would be better for the saltyies IMHO, second if someone like me that only does saltwater and win what good would freshwater stuff do us? maybe we could get some more sponsors and let the spopnsors dontate the POTM prizes that would be an awesome idea |

maybe we could get some more sponsors and let the spopnsors dontate the POTM prizes that would be an awesome idea Neptunes Cove? Air Water Ice? I'm working on it! $20 Gift card to your local fish store would do anyone good FW or SW. The only prize that I have ever giving away that was FW was the BN pleco last month. I guess we need 2 POTM we are getting big!

| kory IMHO gift cards to retailers are great idea especially if the winner gets to choose whether it be for fresh, salt, or the retailer has both |

| Very unwise two POTM would be! One POTM means only the best of the best pics make it in. We have enough of both to make it competitive. Don't take that away just because salt hasn't won yet. There are a few pics this month that might take it. Besides. What fun would it be if you can't pit fresh vs salt? That takes away from bragging rights! | |

| I agree witht he salt and fresh being seperated, but as one said, man some of these folks with saltwater.... I am salt and have seen some awefully nice freshwater setups on here. As for a prize, I have no preference to that. I think some would like the pat on the back and recognition, sometimes just a Nice Job should surfice. | |
