| 2 Corydora Catfish 4 Neon Tetra's
Each of those need a minimum of 6 each to do well. The tank looks good though, ever thought of doing live plants? |

| Lol. . . yeah, our Opaline is pretty docile. We had to get rid of our Gold because he was killing EVERYONE. I think he took out a total of 8 fish before we figured out it was him. He would only be aggressive at night. . . it was weird. We have had our Cory's for over a year, they seem to be doing great. We had 10 of the Neon Tetra's. . . but around here(Waco). . . they don't seem to last terribly long. The 4 that are left we have had now for about 5 months. As far as live plants go, unless I spend hundreds of dollars for some kind of water system to soften our tap water, it's a no go. Live plants and the water here just doesn't work. I would love to do live plants though! | |

| Oh, and I forgot to mention, we in fact do have 6 cory's, but we moved 2 to each of our grow out tanks for the cichlid fry. | |

| I'm curious why you moved some corys into the fry tanks? Look into southern water nymph it flourishes in any water with very little attention. I started a tank like this: And it turned into this in less than a month with out anything at all added for the plants, just decent light. The water was quite hard with a PH of 8-9 The trimming from the tank 1/2 way filled a 2gal bucket! |

| Put the cory's in the fry tanks simply because they keep it much cleaner. There is much less "left over" food. There wasn't much to begin with, but I just like the sand to look clean. I may have to see if I can find those plants. I haven't really looked into it much simply because everyone I have talked to around my area says it's just a waste of money. | |

| Just be sure to give them some shrimp pellets so that they are well fed.
Once I figure out the best way to ship plants all of my excess plants (10+ different kinds and enough to fill a 5 gal bucket) Will be listed for sale via the site. |

| Raschael, Give any of the smaller anubias (barteri etc...) a try. I've also had pretty good success with Java Fern. I really like the variant called 'windelov'--stays quite a bit smaller and clumpier looking than standard Java Fern. All of these will attach to rocks and wood pieces pretty quickly. I usually use rubber bands--once the band de-elastifies , breaks & falls off, the plant should be attached well enough. The water in Austin (unmodified) doesn't seem to faze these plants & they're all doing quite well. | |
