I gots me some plecos

I just got 3 rubber lipped plecos today! These are the first plecos I've had sense I was 6.... A huge common pleco in a 20g turned me off on them in general. Any hints or tips are appreciated, they are going in my planted 75g. Sorry for the poor quality pics.

Well I just put them in the tank and after about 5 minutes of just sitting there all confused like 2 are chewing on a piece of wood and one is cleaning the glass. I like these guys already!

Nice they look healthy. These are cool plecos they can be hard to get to eat waffers. Mine spends all day on the glass. What temp do you keep your tank at?

Once you've had them let me know how they work for algae control!

They have cleaned most all of the algae up in the tank and there was a fair amount of it! I haven't seen them eating the wafers but I have been putting in 1 per day for them. I will have to get back with you on the temp.

They do change color some depending on what they are laying on, see;

Oh and I am down to 2 of them..... One just up and died but the other two are doing great.

Have you seen them eat anything besides algea. I don't think mine touches the wafers. But I put them in a n hour after the lights are off. I did this once and the next day my plecos dorsal fish looked like it got bitten. Maybe he was eatting the wafer and one of my greedy cichlids nipped at him to move. Besides his fin looking sad he is still doing good.

I clipped a cucumber to the side of the tank with a veggie clip Im pretty sure be eat some of that. I know my severum liked it. But I'm worried my rubber nose is not getting enough too eat. Or the right vitamins he needs. He use to only stay on the glass but now has been grazing on the rocks.

Oh and my rubbernose killed my albino BN too they never liked eachother and would fight when ever they saw eachother.
