| So right now I'm doing water changes the old fashion way. Using a 5 gallon bucket and bath tub. And to add I have to go up and down some stairs!
So today I was thinking "there has to be an easier way to do this!"
So this brings up my question. Can anyone give me advice on how to make these water changes less of a pain? Any products ect...?

You can get them on amazon with good deals sometimes. PetCo also carries them in Cranberry if you wanted one right away.

| the way io do it with my salt tank is i get teh water that is going back in and put it in 5 gallon containers and set them by the tank or i use a large tub filled with water (usually what i do since my tank is saltwater and i mix my water right next to the tank)whih a powerhead in it with a hose connected. i then drain teh old water into small tubs and fillwith the new and then i take th eold water and dump it in the driveway |

| I've looked at the python, But it doesn't look like it would fit on any of the sinks in my house? What about temperature? | |

| It will fit any sink. I have the attachment if it doesn't fit yours. You can have it cheap because I don't need it! | |

| When you are draining you can turn the water off and feel the tank water temp as it drains and adjust the water coming out of the faucet to match. Then just turn the bottom and it starts filling up the tank with the right temperature of water! They are so nice to use! | |

| Ok sweet! But what about adding the water conditioner? Dechlorinator? Like when do you add it? | |

| You add your conditioner and stuff after or while you are filling the tank up. It's the only way to do water changes if you have a lot of tanks. | |

| we use the python and we got it from walmart.. I have three tanks going and it reaches all of them. Easy just drain it and then turn the sink conector thing and fill it right back up. I add all the declorinator and all as I am adding water. I measure it into the tank as the water is filling up. | |

| i just use a 700gph powerhead to drain the tank. then i fill it back up with a water hose hooked up to my shower head. i have 12 tanks running and the python was just too slow for me. | |

| With a sand substrate it would be hard to use a powerhead. It would throw sand everywhere. But I can see your point if you have 12 tanks! | |

| I do basically the same method as rico and raptor, just a few differences. I have 17 tanks (370g) and using a siphon just wasn't cutting it. |

You can get them on amazon with good deals sometimes. PetCo also carries them in Cranberry if you wanted one right away. this is what i use. my dad has a long hose that he runs out of the window and into the plants. he then uses the water hose from out side to fill the tank. he made some kind of adaptor what has a shut off valve.
