| Mine is named blue. lol. I just named it that say i can yell "your my boy BLUE!" (old school) I feed mine omega one cichlid flakes morning and night. Then he gets spirulana pellets around 3 o clock, and at night time the flakes along with pellets (i switch every night between shrimp pellets, krill pellets, and oscar grow pellets) Then on saturdays it is blood worms or live guppies. Now this isn't just for him this is what i feed my tank but he isn't a shy eater so he usually gets some of all. But in response to getting stressed, he actually has darkened up since i have swithced to peacocks which is a good sign. I am pretty sure he is three inches, when he comes to the glass to see my i try to measure him and he is right at three inches measuring that way. | |

What tank setups have you had them in? How may in the shoal? If they aren't acting like hyper kids they aren't doing well. |

| Never had them, but I shall get some later. I need some sand, will children's play sand work? | |

| Good name. He is darker color to show the others he is strong and in charge. That's good means he is still the king of the tank. | |

| Silica pool filter sand is what I use in all of my tanks. It is larger grained than play sand so its easier to clean, you can vac it almost like gravel. I think the brand I use is crystal sands I got it at Lowes $5 for 50lb bag. To be sure it silica sand (you don't want anything else) look for the cancer warning, if you see that your good. |
