Wow, these guys are addictive...I got another betta!! The new guy is a black dragon halfmoon plakat. He's a lovely shade of lavender w/purple fins. He's even got some red coming in on his tail & anal fins! I wanted a name that had to do with his purple coloration. I'm a HUGE classic rock fan & immediately thought of the song, 'Purple Haze' by Jimi Hendrix...and the name Hendrix just stuck!! He's my first plakat, so it'll be interesting to watch him mature. =)

It's not jsut Betta's that are addictive. I love any fish my hubby lets me have.

Half moons plakats, those are great fish to have. I used to have the halfmoons betta imported from Thailand. Those fish from Thailand are awesome. Best breeders are from Aquastar and Balaengbettas. For some reasons, bettas bred in the USA lagged in size and the fins are not as perfect as that from Thailand. This is just an opinion and my honest observation. I was with Bettas for 5 years then decided to change course. The Betta's can really be addictive. You can have one and end up with fifty jars with diffrenent types. Good Luck with your Betta's.
