| Markc019 let me know how the planting goes. my cichlids uproot any and all plants. i even through in a couple of moss balls, and they tore the moss balls to pieces. in other words learn to like plastic plants or go all rocks..... | |

| The first thing you must know about tropheus is........They are like SHEEP!!! They love to graze on green! Plants and trops dont look good together( in my opinion) and when they rip the plants up, it clogs the intake for you filter. I used to use java moss and fern in my trop tanks as a food source but with todays foods, they have all the green and then some in it! I love a clean tank with no floating debris as ripped up plants and clogged intakes!!!! I also tried plastic plants one time but as it was covered in algae it looks like a mess and Ive found it cheesy looking. My tanks are decorated with riverstones, lava rock and limestone! It looks great! Try it!!!! | |
