Here is a a pic of the two of them together.

a pic of the wigglers.

the last pic is one of the texas cichlid. look at the difference of the earlier pics. the texas now has broad dark bands, and the underbelly and part of the face is all dark.

now can anyone tell me which one is the male and which one is the female. the texas tend to stay by the fry more. i have only seen the texas suck up the fry and spit them with the rest of the wigglers. and the texas is the only one running after other fish that comes near the area.

best guess. the texas cichlid is the female. because the dorsal and anal fins are much pointier in the flowerhorn

Kool Kasshan!!! BREEDING BETWEEN AN UNLIKELY PAIR 393849 Thanks A Lot for the info. I been trying to figure this out. all of my other fish have been small enough to hide behind rocks or caves. these pair are both bigger than hand size. and they have made their nest in the front of the tank. and now i get to see it all.
