If your conditions are right any plant will take over a tank.

Hardiness: Moderate
Light Needs: Medium - high/ c02 helps greatly.
Plant Structure: Stem
Genus: Rotala
Region: Asia
Location: Southeast Asia
Size: Individual stem width: 2-5cm (1-2in)
Growth Rate: Fast
Can Be Grown Emersed: Yes

Lighting should be at least 2-3 watts per gallon for best coloration and growth. steady amounts of CO2 from either a pressurized system is needed. Nitrate should be dosed for consistency, with smaller, more frequent doses being better. This plant grows best when nitrates are not allowed to reach zero but not kept over 20-25 ppm. having high phosphate levels (1-2 ppm) and heavy iron/micronutrient dosing.
I've had this plant it will grow in medium light and normal dosing. but it shine and show it's best. c02 high light, and clean clean clear water with mincro and macro dosing...
