So I was browsing the web at 4 am lol can't sleep I guess and stumbled across these fellows and was like wow they are cool I wonder if anyone has kept them so I figured I would ask ??

First post here for me. I found this site doing a search for links on my web site (where the picture posted in this thread came from).

They were a part of a shipment from Germany in May 2010. I have a large colony that is producing fry every month. I didn't have any of a reasonable size for the FOTAS event or I would have donated some. I have well over 100 fry at the moment. I distributed them to 8 hobbyists so far, mostly to people I know will breed and distribute them. When the weather warms up I'll start shipping again. They breed easily and often, so hoping they will be fairly common in the hobby in a few years. (Two people in the HCCC club now have juveniles)

They aren't all that aggressive except for the "normal" male on male fighting. Just realize that only one male in the tank will show good color.

Very nice Kevin.

We have a program here at USA Fishbox called CAST for these kinds of species. Would be awesome to get a group or 2 in the program. Thanks for the heads up.
