Hello I'm new.
I'm currently living in Virginia.
I love fish my Fav is the great white.
I hope to one day become a biologist and then a Marine biologist.
My daughter did have a beta fish his name was Chibi.
He was our beloved pet fish. for 2 years
We had him trained to come to the top of his bowl to eat when he herd the shaking of his food. He loved to eat. Chibi traveled with us everywhere and liked watching tv. He pasted away unfortunately 2 months ago. So we may get a diff fish later on.

In general I know I'm new to the fish world so any advise is helpful. I am not sure just yet on what type of fish we are going to get yet. I personally wouldn't mind a salt water tank full of Diff Marine life. thanks

Welcome! there are so many fish to choose from my best advice is that if you see something you like at a fish store write down its name and go home! Research it till you are happy and see if it fits what you are looking for. I personally won't trust any worker at the fish store unless they have proven without a doubt they know what they are talking about.

Following this method you won't get stuck with an Oscar and a 5 gallon tank...
