| I have some very rare and pretty Victorians that many would pay big money to get, however my favorite fish right now is my Herichthys cyanoguttatus. (Texas Cichlids). Even here way out in Virginia you can pick these guys up for $2 for juvies... so while they aren't rare mine hold a special place in my hobby. Why? Well because they are wild caught and I know that because I caught them myself! It doesn't get any wilder than that! Something about getting in the water and scooping the fry into a tiny fish net and then getting them home and growing them up till they are breeding age is just amazing! So anyone else got any favs?

| at the moment my favorite would have to be my African Butterfly fish. I have a few reasons for it.
1. He was the first fish that I bought myself. 2. When people see him for the first time the reaction is always priceless, like " WHY DO YO HAVE A DEAD FISH IN HERE" 3. Just because it's not your regular live bearer or cichlid it's a frikin *insert scientific name here* | |

| EBJD for me. Just the challenge behind them I guess is what makes me love them. The bad rep they have, and the blues in them put me in awww. | |

| Of course my answer is Bettas. Why? Because they are the most beautiful, elegant and regal fish I know of. They are the one fish out there that once you have one you have to have more. Like Lays potato chips. You can't just have one. Also one of the most challenging and interesting fish to breed. Even with genetics involved it's like Christmas. You never know for sure what the little fry will turn into. | |

| Im gonna go with Red Devil was my first fish, unique character and wasn't afraid of anything. he would chase everyone that came into the hose from one end of the tank to the other, and if you stopped he'd hit the glass like he was gonna get you. | |

| My favorites are hands down.....TROPHEUS!!!! These fish are not only colorful but they always give you a show!!! They never just sit still. Always swimming around and chasing each other just for the fun of it!!!!! Very inexpensive to keep!!!! Spirulina and NLS cichlid pellets is all you need. Some times I would put slices of zucchine or hang romaine lettuce in the tank and watch them go at it like wolves. The problem with these fish are the fact once you get one species, others will follow. It is like crack but a lot more safer!!!! I am currently keeping 8 different kinds of trops. I was warned by the warden( THE WIFE ) if one more aquarium comes in the house......... GOD Im gonna miss her!!!!! LOL!!!! | |
