Need some advice/help

if this is not the correct section for this sorry...maybe someone can move it.


anyway i had two green spotted puffers dumped on me yesterday by someone who was just going to flush them if i hadn't given in and taken them. i have read up on them and the stuff i need advice on is what to feed them and how to get it.

i read they eat snails and such and i dont know anywhere i can get tiny snails for them to eat..is their anything meant for humans that could subsitute for the snails?


i've given them some dried baby shrimp and they really liked that but i know the need snails to help keep their teeth worn down

Most smaller fish stores , NOT the big ones , will gladly give you any snails you want . Ramshorns and pond snails .

Definately check in with any LFS. Most will gladly give them to you. Sometimes the big chain stores will as well.

Also, if you don't mind paying for shipping, put an ad in the wanted section. I'm sure there many members here who would gladly send you theirs. :o)
