| I'm Vickie from Ohio, and I got my first tank (65 gal.) used last October with a 7" red devil in it. I was told I couldn't get him a tankmate and my husband wanted to keep him, so he got me a used 120 gal. for "my" fish, lol. The red devil now lives with 3 convicts - they are so active he just watches them zoom by and seems happy. I have a 120, 2- 40s, 1- 35, 3-30s, a 20, and 3- 10 gal. now. First I just put afican cichlids in the 120, but I found BABIES one day while vaccuming, so that really started my learning. Right now I have a red zebra, a maingano, a socolofi, and a ruby red peacock holding. I need to learn the right way to ship fish, lol. I hope to learn a lot here and have fun in the process. Sincerely, Vickie | |

| Great to have you, Vickie! You definitely have MTS(multiple tank syndrome). Don't worry, the vast majority of us have it, too! Can't wait to see pics. You'll learn a lot here. | |

| Welcome to the MTS Sufferer's Society, to go from 1 tank in Oct. to 11 now is a sure sign that you have fully been taken by the disease.
Signs you suffer MTS. (Anyone is welcome to add to these)
1) When the power has gone off, you spend longer checking all your filters are up and running, than it takes you to reset the electronic clocks. (Guilty)
2) It takes you longer to do your morning feed, than it does to eat your breakfast, and your breakfast to be honest is of secondary importance to the morning feed.
3) In summer you run the A/C to suit your tanks, not your family.
4) You think nothing on spending $'s on lighting your tanks, but would never spend that much on a lamp for the lounge.
5) Your fish cupboard holds more varieties of food, than your kitchen cupboard.
6) You lost track of the TV program/Movie watching the fish tank. (As we know, you never get repeats on a fish tank, and they are never spoiled by commercials).
7) You stop half way through a post, when you see that jeuvenille male cichlid suddenly come out from the rocks in full colour for the first time .... sorry where was I?
8) You have no idea when you last had a hair cut ( hair colour or what ever), but you know exactly when and how much of a water change you did last week.
9) You struggle to name all your cousins, aunts and uncles, and yet you can stream off the latin names for very fish you have in all your tanks.
Sorry that male Peacocks just come out of the rocks again and is looking soooo good, bought him when he was under an inch long... anyway, and... oh stuff this he is doing the full side ways shimmy, this is so cool.
10) You stop everything when the baby male peacock shows he is becoming a dominant male.... sorry but this is far more interesting.

| I may suffer from MTS as well. I started back in to the hobby in February/March with 1 tank and now have 7 running and a few waiting to run. | |

| Thanks everyone for the warm welcome, and I showed my husband tonight that I'm not the only one in the world with MTS, lol! He only likes his red devil. That fish seems to love him too though- he tries to bite me through the glass, but follows Darrell's finger around. | |
