I hate canister...They become filthy and cumbersome to clean. I am a big fan of Wet/DRY sump filtration. I can replace filter pads without stopping the flow

| I'm practical All I want is to spend an hour cleaning a canister filter while doing water changes on my 40+ tanks | |

| that's a good deal, and they can easly be moded. can use lava rock and take out the pads... also put a sponde over the intake to keep debree out. | |

I hate canister...They become filthy and cumbersome to clean. I am a big fan of Wet/DRY sump filtration. I can replace filter pads without stopping the flow Well I got both. On my 180 I have a Wet dry and a FX5. & On the 210 I have two FX5's. In my opinion the FX5's are easy to clean. They might take a few more minuts to wash out than it takes to change the pad in a wet dry but the wet dry needs the pad changed much more frequently than the fx5 needs to be serviced. I was verry un-happy with the water clarity in my 180 untill I added the FX5. The wet dry just did not give me the results I was looking for. In the end its just personal prefrence. No matter what - $150 is a good price on the filter Arkangel77

| Of my 44 tanks , 10 are on HOB or Canisters . the other 34 are on Wet/dry sump systems. I have a FX5 sitting out in the garage collecting dust . I used to use it to do gravel cleaning duties B-4 I got a Python ! Both types have their pros and cons , I just prefer the sumps . Ray | |
