i got rid on my canister filters, got this Aquaclear 110 and is magic!!, look at my 75gl now, before it was all yellow and dead lol...

Tank looks great. IMO, the Aquaclear 110 is one of the best HOB filters. If u use sand be sure to trim the suction tube a little so it does not hang too deep, and that should take care of the sand being sucked up into the filter.

It def is, but as long as I have sand no hob over here. Wet dry is my way when it comes to my mobas.

There is no question (IMO) that Wet/Dry is the best Bio-filtration set up. But for light mechanical filtration a good HOB will help.
