| Lol I know ive made a few in the past days but here's the last one.. For a while! So its taken FOREVER to get this tank up, really.. My boyfriend had to weld the stand together But now that its up in the stand, im geeking out all excited at what not, and cant help but fiddle with it. This morning after staying up all night, literally.. ALL night, I decided to mess with the tank. After filling it up I went and picked a piece of driftwood from my pile that had personality to it, and potential ;D Spent 2 hours sanding it, simply because I like uneven layers on driftwood, I like the wood to be dark in some spots, and light in others (: Here is the tank with the driftwood in it! Now dont fret guys, this water will be cycled out. The only purpose this water serves is to waterlog the driftwood. (Well, and I needed to clean the glass earlier xD Hence the scrubber that can be seen floating in the tank) Here are some pictures of the wood to show the color I was talking about, well the layer of color I will be putting sand in it in the next week or so, depends when the heater & filter I ordered arrive. I will be putting the contents of my 35 gallon into this one, and moving my breeding pair of Pearscale angels into the 35. I will have the 55 gallon planted with lots of plants xD Sounds weird, but yeah throw some plant suggestions! Im thinking moss for some parts of the driftwood, but for the all the sand ill have I need lots of plants xD Opinions/Tips/Love is welcome! | |

| Taylor.. I'm one of those weird ones that lOVE plants but.. don't do all the research that some of the better informed folks on here... so take my suggestions with a grain of salt...
For a corner.. a planting of Water Wisteria... within months, you'll be taking hedge clippers to it.. and.. the delicacy of the leaves.. the deep and vibrant green of the foliage is something to admire..Foreground?.. Dwarf Sag's... all across the front of that piece of wood... Back right, behind the wood.. 3 or 4 Crypts.. backed up behind that of a collection of vals..... leaving the left forefront open to you!... Bill

| Nice setup! Plant's lets see vallisneria, cabomba, amazon swords, bacopa, and cyptocorynes. The stand is nice looks very sturdy maybe while waiting on the rest of your equipment you could slap a paint job on it or a shelf enclose it,etc.. and one thing for sure keep the post and pic'c coming of your build. | |

Thanks! Ill look into those plant suggestions, the stand is painted (: I liked the black since it would match the rest of the tank, it was a nasty looking metal color before xD! Ive already nagged the boyfriend for a shelf, the middle bars you see are actually to support the shelf! (: Im going to be painting little cherry blossoms on the side of the stand just because I want to xD Will be adding more pictures! I JUST finished moving around and planting new plants in my 35 gallon, Will take picture once water is calmed down.
