| i have been thinking about doing this to help with the water changes and top offs lol, Anyone have oneof these set ups? Post some pics and ideas. | |

| Why? The only practical application is for your discus tank. If you use it with africans you'll have to buffer the hell out of the water to get the ph right. You can get pics and stuff from www.melevsreef.com

| it would be for the discus tank for sure i just have the chance to get a really nice set up for under 100 bucks si i figured it might be worth it | |

| if you have a split off from the DI canister, you can use it to filter drinking water. the DI I've heard is overfiltration for fw applications. Your tank inhabitants actually require some of the minerals that come in from your drinking water. If your fish are healthy now, I wouldn't mess with it unless you just want an ro/di setup, or if you're planning to go salt at some point. | |

| i got one that i use to mix with my tap water.... i pay $1.50 per 5gallons... lol | |

| I've been using distilled water (super market) in my 55g FW because my tap water is cr@p. We use RO for drinking/cooking. | |
