| Texredneck......You never said where you imported the fish from.......Many Asian companies claim to have "wild Discus" for export...This is where most " wild anything" comes from.....................When I was in the business I dealt with companies in Columbia and Brazil.....This was before CITES.............Most "wild Discus" on the market are several generations away from actual wild caught fish and actually come from Asia.
The "real" wild Discus or most any other wild source fish are very expensive and hard to get. | |

| There are still wild discus being shipped out of South America today. Yes they have gone up and so has the value of the American dollar dropped.

| Dr Who.. I think the question was intended to find out if Tx's supplier was an Asian company in which case the validity of W/C come into question. I don't see where Dano suggested that there weren't any shipments coming out of SA.. Bill | |

| Since he won't name the exporter or the distributor, the fish are probably Asian several generations from the original wild stock.......Not that it matters as long as you like the fish...... | |

| Tx is in a business.. I for one wouldn't share any details about my business partners. The business partner might not appreciate their name being shared amongst the general public.. I sure wouldn't want every Tom, Richard and Harry contacting me to by-pass a link in the distribution channel.. A successful business is that way because they develop practices and partnerships and relationships. Sharing that info with potential competitors is really self defeating don't ya think? | |

Thats funny right there. Anybody that knows anything about discus can look at the pics and tell you there wild caught and what part of Brazil there from. Please try not to use them big words like CITES , ibama , USFWS import permit there scary BTW I run with the Big dogs in the Discus would and yes they let me back on the porch LOL Your Buddy TxReneck - williemcd wrote:
