| Thank you KMX for pointing me to the intro posting! I'm getting back into the planted tank hobby, been a fish head since I was 6. My hobby/obsession peaked when I had a 55gal, 100gal, 125 gal, 2 29gals, and a 2 10 gal during high school (it helped to have some family patronage to foot the bill). I've tried betta breeding, Discus breeding, saltwater(reef only and fish only--that was an expensive trial!!) I think the only thing that separated me from the really serious hobbyist was having a direct line RO system, I flew the nest and moved out but couldn't take the tanks with me so I downsized to a 34 gal bowfront I found off craigslist, 3 years ago. This time I wanted to get more high tech/better quality equipment. My wisest purchase was the PC light fixture. I didn't discover internet supply sites until this time and had nooo clue what was available; I had thought it was either the basic fluorescent hoods or MH lamps. My first year with the bowfront was awesome! I had lush growth, weeding out overgrowth every week, but then I got lazy Eventually the tank dwindled down to practically a fish only tank. How the remaining plants survived is beyond me! PS: If anyone in STL can help finding me a job working in aquatics that'd be great! Since graduating I have not used one bit of my biology degree. | |

Hope to chat with you in the future. :) Check out Craigslist in your area. Also Post a WTB add on CL. What size are you looking for?

Ive been scouring Craigslist. Have found some good deals, but didnt have the money to take them. I would be happy with getting another 5 gal for the babies, but would love a 10. (We have very limited space right now). If I were to find an excellent deal on something bigger, I would find the room for it, tho.

| You said you were looking for bigger but you only have space and money for a 5-10G. Good luck on your search. When I search Craigslist I search pets and the for sale section. | |

| Yup, I NEED to get another tank soon because these babies are going to out grow their home soon. I just have not been able to find a cheap enough tank. Im hoping soon we will have the extra $40 to get a 10 gallon kit from Walmart. I would be sooooo happy at that point. | |

| You can find tons of tanks cheap on craigslist in Stl. I see them all the time. Look in pets and general for sale. I just wish I lived a little closer then I would be buying them. Good luck | |
