| Breaking wind in public might get you into a heap of trouble! A new bill in Malawi is causing a bit of a stink. The bill, which is being introduced this week, states: "Any person who vitiates the atmosphere in any place so as to make it noxious to the public to the health of persons in general dwelling or carrying on business in the neighborhood or passing along a public way shall be guilty of a misdemeanor." There appears to be some confusion as to whether the new bill includes a provision that outlaws breaking wind in public. Justice Minister George Chaponda insists that it does and told a local radio station that if people needed to break wind then they would have to visit the toilet to do so. Quite what happens if you're in a crowd of people and someone farts isn't so clear. Or if someone farts and blames you... TRUE STORY!!! | |
