Well, after 100 dollars dropped at petsmart and a pissed off wife, I am officially back in the hobby again. I had been given a ten gallon and a 55 a couple months ago that I finally got cleaned out and the wifey told me I could go ahead and get what was needed to get the ten set up and going. She didn't think it would be quite as expensive as what I had in mind, but we got it set up and doing the cycle process now. Fish hunt will begin in a couple weeks when aquarium is cycled and established!

I am setting it up to be a planted tank with a couple of kuhli loaches, otos, and a couple guppies to keep the wifey interested. Started it out with a layer of laterite and then black sand for the substrate, a nice looking piece of driftwood with a java fern attached, and a little bit of hornwort just to get a little more green in there while establishing things.

Thank you everyone for all the welcomes. I agree that it has to be in the marriage handbook too! I had ten tanks going when we started dating and that ended up getting dwindled down to none. Finally, seven years later, I'm getting a couple up and going again since our daughter loves aquarium fish.
