| All freshwater tanks![You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]75 Gallon - Panaque woodpile habitat.6 Panaque (Panaqolus) maccus 12 Corydoras cf. aeneus "Venezuela" 2 Corydoras julii 3 Corydoras trilineatus (Rio Ucayali) 1 Corydoras napoensis 2 Pseudobunocephalus quadriradiatus 4 Otocinclus huaorani 5 Otocinclus hoppei 4 Paracheirodon axelrodi 5 Hyphessobrycon pulchripinnis 6 Axelrodia riesei 9 Rasbora dorsiocellata 6 Hara jerdoni [Building up the low number Corydoras colonies slowly.] Deceased at 6 years old: Brochis britskii Tried and failed with: Baryancistrus beggini (Ancistrini sp. L239) 20 Gallon long - Endler's Livebearers colony. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]20 Gallon high - empty atm. Used to keep: 1 Ancistrus pirareta, 3 years (gave to Ben) 1 Ancistrus cf. cirrhosus 1 Otocinclus vittatus, juvenile Poecilia wingei colony Before that, used to keep: Chaetostoma sp. 1, C. formosae Corydoras habrosus [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]10 Gallon - Empty atm.At different times these fish were kept in the 10 gallon tank: Panaque maccus, more than 3 years big colony of Corydoras habrosus, almost five years Corydoras leucomelas, 3 years 1 Dekeyseria brachyura, 4 years (gave to Ben) 3 Otocinclus hoppei [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This next tank has been taken down, but it was such a great tank while it ran, that I have to include it. It was set up for a colony of Endler's livebearers from the ocean side of la Laguna Malaguena, in Venezuela, which is a brackish water habitat much of the year. 20 Gallon - White sand habitat.Poecilia wingei, descendents of Caryl Haskins' colony 1 Ancistrus sp. "Lower Rio Negro" (an unusual rescue) 6 Corydoras sodalis 1 Chaetostoma sp. 2, C. dorsale 1 Rineloricaria eigenmanni (old name) 9 Nannostomus beckfordi [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Other characins that I kept for a while.2 Carnegiella strigata, kept for about 3 years 4 Pristella maxillaris, oldest lived 6 1/2 years 6 Hemigrammus erythrozonus, oldest lived 7 years 8 Paracheirodon innesi, oldest lived 5 1/2 years 9 Gymnocorymbus ternetzi, from 2006, some still living 3 Moenkhausia pittieri, did not keep long [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Go Fish!

| Thanks! Mostly very small fish, as you can see. Since my last post, the 29 gallon Indian almond leaf tank has been set up. Still just have the one Dario in there - I'm letting him get settled before stocking anything else.

| 15 Boraras micros and 5 Hara jerdoni have been added to the 29 gallon! I've been waiting months for these fish. The Boraras are possibly the tiniest cyprinid of all. The adults are barely a half inch long. They are a creamy yellow, depending on the light, with distinct round black spots. Some of the fins are tipped with red. The Hara are tiny catfish. Their nickname is Asian stone catfish. I have five juveniles, about three-quarters of an inch long, TL. This is about half of their full size so I'll get to watch them grow up! | |
