| ok so about 7 months ago i noticed this open red sore..the fish acted totally normal would eat well and everything looked good but the sore....Then about 4 months later (sore never got any bigger)he started acting sick and within 24 hrs he was dead... | |

| If he was fine for that long with the sore it was probably something else that killed him. What was he acting like when he got sick? |

| I once had a pleco with red sores from scrapping against decor.It would go away and come back.maybe the stress finally got to him from whatever it was | |

| I would tend to lean towards another illness being what caused his death. The sore was probably an injury and something else killed him. | |

| He just went to the bottom and was laying on the gravel and was dead within 24 hrs..Now there is a chinese algae eater in this tank that has left very slight marks on the tail fins of some of the fish before ...But i dont think he did it but i guess its always possible | |
