Aren't they adorable!? I hope they make it. This is my first batch of Briggs babes so we'll see how it goes. I went ahead and put this small group in a breeder net in the tank. Not sure how many others will hatch out.

I had one once in the 70's that laid a clutch in the hood I just left it alone and they all hatched. Talk about an invasion of snails I was throwing clutches away.

Yeah, I'll have to be carefull to only let them produce however many I can either take care of or will be able to find homes for. It's the proper thing to do.

Back in the 70's snails were not popular you could not get rid of them. If I had them now I would do the same as you James.

Yes. I'm a snail fanatic now a days. Just lost my large fist size ivory apple last week.

You have a picture of said snail, Ursula? I love snails. Sadly, I have none. Those little babies are soooooo tiny! It really is amazing they come out like that.

That's the good thing about these snails. You control the population since you need both male and female. And the eggs are laid above water so if you don't want them, you remove the egg sack, freeze for a spell and then discard.
