Debating on bidding on some at aquabid. They'll be for my planted 10G. It's unheated - but temp is around 70F at night and 75F during the day. Lots of java moss and moss balls already in there. There are also a bunch of ghost shrimp and one bamboo shrimp calling the tank home. Did have more bamboos - but I tried to save $$$ by turning the central heat to 66F - and they died quickly. Have had better luck with the ghosts. Several are almost as large as the bamboo.

The only thing is that I do use an in-tank filter. Doesn't affect the adult shrimps - but hits the ghost larvae (or maybe the glofish are enjoying them?). However, I'm not really interested in breeding the crystals, just enjoying them in the aquascape.

Will crystals do well in a situation that ghost shrimp do well in? crystal red/black shrimp 265353

Put a heater in the tank. Can't cost that much to heat it.

Why thank you. Might not be an expert, but did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. lol!

I still have availability on the CRS/CBS as well.

Can't put a heater in. There's only one spot for the tank in my husband's custom shelves - and it shares the only outlett on that wall with the flatscreen, satellite, DVD and Wii...... Can't handle anything else!

And no, can't change that. Husband's a bit of a woman about his 'design' of the living room. lol!

Looking for compatibility info. Fish in the tank are glofish, painted glass tetras and two orcinta algae eaters - all prey fish wimps.

CRS/CBS require Soft Water with a PH below 7. It needs to be very well filtered and very well established. Temps above above 70 at all times. Extremely inbred, extremely fragile, and extremely sensitive to Changes in water parameters and tank pollution.
