Hello from Seattle

My husband and i are into fresh water cichlids. But it wont be a shocker when we switch to salt.

We have:
yellow labs
green terrors
oscars
red devils
electric blue jack dempseys
jack dempseys
jaguars
angel fish
cherry shrimp
Frontosas

and im sure im leaving something out .. but you get the point.

We started with a 55 gal tank given to us by a friend. Now ... as you may have guessed by the list we had to expand. We now have about 30 tanks that take up our garage. Talk about a hobby gone mad.

Hey man. Thanks. I have a tank of fancy guppies that i started out with. Now i have a 55 gallon with electric blues, johanni's, electric yellows and albinos. Mbuna are the best. And a fry tank full of fry. I've had the most success with johanni's and yellows so im going to breed them more and trying to get rid of some of my stock to purchase others. The Orange ones are actaully called Red Zebras
The blue ones are Blue Zebra???
And im assuming the Albino ones are Socolofi?

Do you have pics of the parents? I wan't to help you so you look better and sell them faster ;0)

Tanks do have a habit of multiplying. I started with 20g now I have 412.5g... I think....

yes the albinos are socolofi. yellow ones are yellow labs yes. no pics im at work rolling eye

i only know people from CL. but not stores, cuz they dont know anything about cichlids. Midway Tropical Fish & Pets in Kent, WA has a veryyy nice selection. locally owned too!

Midway never has any africans when i go, it is a good store yes, and they are very knowledgeable but they just never have any africans. I dunno maybe i will go check it out this weekend.

They are both Malawi Mbuna but not the same species.

That is a Lemon Jake. That is the actual dad of all my fry. I also have another peacock that is AMAZING. I will show you some pics....
